Ok so it’s been a crazy summer and didn’t get a chance to write to you all and I do apologize for that but, I know you understand with sons that play baseball, and work it was crazy I didn’t even get a chance to take the family on a vacation this year.

So here are some updates on what is going on with me and my Vida loca…

1. I completed the Lore Master Title and according to several different web sites and pod cast if you are going to do it get it done before Cataclysm because it’s won’t be there.
2. Picked up Star Craft 2 and let me just say awesome RTS if you like type of game get SC2 even if you didn’t like SC1 which I didn’t but however I love SC2 go figure.
3. Got a new boss and so far so good seems to be allot nicer and has a present disposition.
4. My oldest son is now in 7th grade how the time flies.
5. One more year of coaching pee-wee basketball and then I’m done, I think….

Well that pretty much sums up my summer and all that, I hope you had a great summer as well, until next time you take care.

Ok let’s break this down shall we?  I try to be green, but hey I’m no Ed Begley Jr. or for that matter who would want to taking it to that extreme is insane if you ask me.  Having to ride a bicycle just to make a piece of toast?  Enough with chasing rabbits, and back to the reason for my post.

All right so I try to drink allot of water and do get most of this from you every day run of the  mill water faucet, however sometimes this is not practical and I have to buy a bottle of water.  I know that allot of people buy it by the gallon, or even 5 gallon because the water they have access to at home is not really drinkable and I understand this.  However some great mind decided to come up with the idea to reduce the amount of plastic in each water bottle made.  Now I don’t know who this egg head is but, I’m tired of trying to open a water bottle and it being so damn soft and flexible that when you try to unscrew the lid it will actually put so much pressure that water will literally explode out of the mouth once the lid is removed.   Next you can’t leave it open and sitting on your desk because the damn things will literally collapse dumping water out all over the place. 

I understand we need to conserve our resources, but tell me why in the hell can’t we melt down the used water bottles and recycle them?  Could we then maybe spare a little more plastic so I wouldn’t have to get doused with water?

I don’t know if you have experienced anything like this or not but please share you stories with me if you have.

Well to pass time between dungeons I decided to get the Loremaster Title, so as most of you I have been playing for several years and so when I decided to undertake this task I was a little perplexed because first off which toon do I take, I have a plethora of toons.  I decided to go with my Pally since he was the first and I felt it was only right.  I then began to wonder about what quest had I done and let’s not forget that I have been playing this toon for over 5 years!  I started looking around and found these two mods which is helping greatly.  I was able to complete the Eastern Kingdom Sunday evening and have started on the Kalimdor.  If you’re wanting to get this title as well I suggest picking up these two addon’s.

Loremaster <–Great tool you can actually poll the server and see what you have completed.

Everyquest <–You can get a list of every quest out there compare to what you have done in Loremaster and bing bang your done.

Everyquest Quest Giver Database <–Database of all quest givers in the wow.

You will still want to beat your head against the wall when you get to Kalimdor but these two addon’s will help you stream line your time there.

As I have discussed here I play wow, not as much here lately with the son’s playing base ball my afternoon’s and a couple of nights a week are taken up with practice, and games.  I’m even lucky that some of the games fall on the weeknd’s, oh the joy.  Anyway I still read a few of the different blogs out there that concern wow to try and keep a some what educated idea of what is going on.  Over the last couple of days one of my more frequented blogs has had some interesting comments and dare I say almost in a giddy state, that possibly a return of BRK?  Daniel, BRK’s alter ego has made a couple of post with banter between him and GhostCrawler.  You can find that conversation at Daniel’s current blog.

Now I don’t know exactly what Daniel/BRK and GhostCrawler have going but, I have to say I have greatly missed the writings and style of BRK and his way of explaining hunter data to us.

I know that I totaly sound like a mark or a BRK groupie but, I don’t care I have missed the little drunken dwarf known as Big Red Kitty.

My wife tried to kill me, I swear to you all she did!  It was June 18, 1996 and my wife and I had been married a total of 3 days, so technically we where still on the honeymoon right?  The company I worked for at the time was not family friendly so I basically got the weekend off for my wedding and that was it.  I had been out working in the hot sun all day so I was hot, tired and sweaty when I got home, and my new bride wanting to be the “Betty Crocker” of house wives brought me a tall cold glass of iced sweet tea to me. 

Now I was over joyed at this point, the apartment was clean, supper was cooking on the stove and smelt wonderful, so other than being hot, tired and sweaty life was great, I was married and out of the rat race that is the whole dating scene. I was sitting on the couch and sharing with my wife the hellish day I had.

Then I took a drink of the tall, cold glass of sweet ice tea my wife had brought to me.  This is where it all came crumbling down around me friends. 

At this point you need some history, in the south we pride our selves on the making of our sweet tea and let me just say that no two peoples tea will ever taste the same, the chemical make up is different from tea to tea and, in some cases a person’s sweet tea recipe is a cherished and well protected secret.  The tea make up is affected by different things such as brand of tea bag, how may tea bags you use, the water quality that you have access to, type of sugar that is used, amount of sugar that is used, when the sugar is added.  Bottom line folks it’s a complicated process and I will argue that when you order you ice tea at a restaurant and you attempt to make it sweet tea by adding 10 million of those little packets of sugar it is not sweet tea it’s tea with a mound of sugar slush at the bottom of the glass.  So as I was stepping out of the door, my wife again wanting to be the the perfect southern wife asked me how did “I” make my sweet tea, ok for me to tell this I will have to divulge some of my secret tea recipe however I will not tell all.  My reply ” In the coffee maker just put a couple of bags in the glass thing with some sugar and run a full 12 cups of water thought it, that will make a gallon. 

Ok so my wife does this, can anyone guess what step she forgot?  The sugar some of you might say and you would be wrong, did she forget to put two bags of tea in the coffee pot? Again you would be mistaken, she forgot to remove the filter and coffee grounds from that mornings coffee!  So when I took my huge drink of Sweet Iced Tea expecting great things I literally got a double shot of caffeine that almost caused me head to explode not to mention the taste was well let’s just say not good.  I would like to say that this was a isolated event but, it wasn’t this same thing happened a couple more times. 

Good news is that she has come up with her own process, and I no longer use sugar but have moved on to a substitute in a attempt to remove sugar out of my diet and all is well and we are still married, that’s all that really matters isn’t it?

Ok over the last two days there has been report after report concerning this incident that recently happen concerning Kevin Smith and Southwest Airlines.  If you haven’t listen to his pod cast then you need to and can here at SModcast.com number 106. Now I have listen to his recount of the entire incident, now if you will take the time and listen you will hear Kevin state that he was upset about what happen to him but more importantly he got upset with what happen to a young lady that was sitting next to him on the second flight that finally got on that afternoon. 

In a nut shell he finished up early on a gig he was doing and was put on standby at the airport for a earlier flight, in hopes to get home a little earlier and be with his family.  He was removed after being seated, all right fine what ever no big deal in my opinion, however make sure you listen all the way through to the end of the pod cast be cause that’s where it gets really interesting and you will hear why he really becomes  upset and if it’s true why it even upsets me as well.

I have yet to see this point brought out other than in his original pod cast, no other news outlet that I have be able to find bring this point out.   Now I’m sure that I have no huge following like Mr. Smith or any of the other news outlet, I wish I did because this is just being glossed over and that is upsetting.

Have you ever seen or been in a situation where you wished you had a camera because if you did then you could send it in and win the $25,000.00 grand prize?  Well this was one of those times I hope you enjoy my embarrassment.

When you first get married you work hard to try and impress your in-laws, my farther in law was a self employed mechanic and cattle rancher.  So my wife and I was visiting her parents for the weekend, and my farther-in-law had a couple of cows that had calved; and he needed to get them up and milk the cows because their teat’s had swollen to large that the calves couldn’t get the teat’s in their mouths.  Now don’t ask me how this happens I have no idea, I’m not a  vet and I’m not sure if this was actually a situation or if my new in-laws where setting me up, so keep this in mind as you finish reading my story.  My father-in-law told me the plan was to catch the calves and for me and my brother-in-law to hold them in the back of a truck.  So plan was all going well we caught the calves and drove them to the holding pen, after arrival there, my father-in-law told us to pick up the calves and carry them into the pen where the squeeze shoot.  Now to answer your question a squeeze shoot is a device that they put cattle into which restrains the cow/bull allowing the rancher to do what ever it is that is needing to be done.  In our case he was going to milk the cows and that was supposed to reduce the size of the teat’s and then I guess allow the calves to nurse from then on.  I don’t know I was just trying to impress remember….

So my brother-in-law and I each grab a calf and start into the holding corral, now my brother-in-law calf was laying still just chilling.  Mine I think mine had had a double espresso cause it went completely nuts, now before I tell you this next part what I write I swear is completely the truth no exaggeration in any sense of the word.  So as I said as I was carrying this calf to the holding pen starting going nuts, my hands are full and about three steps into the trip my pants fell to my feet and to top it off this calf unloaded this runny manure all down my side.  My father and brother in-law’s start laughing to the point they are crying.  I can’t do anything but stand there with cow crap running down my side can’t walk can’t pull my pants up because if I do I would have to put this calf down which defeats the whole purpose.  I wish I had a movie camera because then at least I could have been paid.

Today while doing some mindless surfing I came across an article I could not believe. Jenni Miller over at “Cinematical” was writing about  how Paramount has given the Coen Brothers the the green light to re-make True Grit!  

I have two questions to pose to you.

• Why do production company/movie studios think that we as consumers are so stupid, that we will continue to just take what they regurgitate out to us.
• More importantly, why do consumers do this.  Come on people quit being sheep!

Now they have in my opinion stepped on sacred ground, when you start re-making movies staring John Wayne you have crossed the line people.  I don’t care who they put in this film it will suck period you can not improve on excellence!

Ok after much contemplation, I have decided to let you in on a huge secret.  Men are pretty stupid, case in point look at this video.

Now see a pretty girl get the gullible guy to come to her, then she leaves him holding the proverbiale bag and to thank him for being that stupid she then punches him in the nuts.

That’s why men have no power!

Over twenty years go when I was in high school, I was witness to a couple of girls who decided to get into a fight.  They slapped at each other and called each other names nothing to serious and I don’t even think they broke a nail.

Fast forward twenty plus years and things have changed greatly.  This morning a couple of girls decided to have a fight.  Now the big difference from then to now is this, they actually fight!  None of the slap and clawing that went on it was an all out brawl with double up fist and round house punches.  It took four grown men to separate them.

I know that most think that out with the old and in with the new is a good deal, however I wonder what happen to the ladies and gentlemen of old.
